Responsibilities assigned to the various committee roles are outlined below:

All committee members

  • Attend all events

  • Help at events by setting up, performing any required activities throughout the night and helping pack up/close. 

  • Attend compulsory weekly committee meetings 

  • No more than three missed meetings per semester

President/Vice-President

  • General management of club, design and structure of events

  • Design and organisation of weekly meetings

  • Negotiating with external sponsors, Guild, Curtin staff and any external attendees

  • Ensuring sufficient communication and interaction with/from the committee

  • Election of new committee members

Treasurer 

  • Bank account and bank cards

  • Making payments to suppliers and vendors

  • Creating budgets for events and for the full year

Secretary 

  • Keeping minutes of meetings

  • Providing managerial and executive help to President/Vice-President

IT Officer (Main)

  • Maintaining the website and updating all required sections (careers section, events etc.)

  • Creating tickets for events and keeping track of ticket sales

IT Officer (SAS Guide)

  • Maintaining and updating the SAS Guide

  • Helping Main IT Officer

Social Media Officer: 2 people

  • Designing branding/cover photos for and creating Facebook events

  • Maintaining Instagram page and posting regular photos of our events/the committee

Events/External Relations: 2 People

  • Contacting and finding suitable venues for events, negotiating with venues for quotes, prices and rules etc.

  • Organising catering, DJs, photographers and any other required external parties for events

Representatives: 2-3 People from each year

  • Promoting events and selling tickets through Messenger, lecture bashing, word of mouth

  • First Year Representatives to write summaries of events for website
