The Student Actuarial Society decided to partake in Cancer Council’s Relay for Life this year held on the 4th of May. The weekend turned out to be a great success where we managed to exceed our group goal of 500 laps. Due to everyone’s tremendous effort and support we managed to raise an impressive $1500.
Big congratulations to everyone who attended whether running, walking or by the end of the 24 hours limping around the track I think we all managed to exceed our expectations and did an incredible job. Thanks to all who came to cheer us on, providing moral support and entertainment making our experience all the more enjoyable.
Overall the event was a success, moving the SAS focus to support the community, raising money toward the cancer council to help prevent, support and solve cancer.
